My New Bike

Well a while ago I had been talking with my brother when he had mentioned something about doing a triathlon. All I could think was, 'Yes someone else that wants to do what I'm doing!" Well that began the long daunting task of researching the bike and where to go from there. That and getting permission from the wife. Long story short I finally found a bike, a Trek 1.2. Good starting place and my first real 'road bike.'
After getting the bike it only took 5 weeks for the water to stop falling from the sky. Yeah, what's up with that? I have never seen so much rain in my life. I took my first ride on Thursday morning and let me tell you it was great. 05:30 in the morning with little traffic, the sun trying to peak out and a nice cool breeze blowing. I took off and dealt with little traffic as I strolled through town. The drawbridge was a problem as I had to dismount and carry the bike across the grating. Not to bad. Taking off again looking at the ocean water before sunrise can really do wonders. 30 minutes later I walked back in my house feeling great. My dogs on the other hand didn't like that I was coming in wearing this weird thing on my head, but at least I know they bark!. I'm looking forward to my next ride as now I'm hooked. Waiting on my brother to get his so we can start planning some rides. Life isn't as exciting when your driving a car compared to the few inches of tire you have touching the pavement on a bike. Well till next time.

Well it all starts somewhere

Well I'm just looking for a place to keep up with everything that I do, limited as it may be, and I figured why not. Just someplace for family and friends to know what's going on. More to come when I do more.
