The Douglas Adams Ride

As a little tribute I managed to pull off exactly 42 miles with no trickery. Started and stopped at the house to exactly 42.0. Not bad if I do say so myself.

A Photo Ride

So I wanted to go out today and just chillax and take it easy. Figured I'd take some pictures to convey the awesomeness of the terrain and the riding style we have here on the east coast. Simple nuff.

The first half of the ride was pretty much a tempo ride, as I still wanted to get my heart rate up a little before I started taking it easy and snapping off some pictures. So here's my turn around point at the local Fire/EMS/Police/Town Hall building with a picture of the Terk and the ladder truck.

Roadway shot heading back . Don't be confused by the terrain, it's all false flats.

Of course the requisite 'tire shot while riding'.

Here is our local group ride sprint point. I've learned to start setting up about a mile back. I know that sounds stupid but I watch everyone ride and know how long they'll pull so I try to time it so I'm mid pack when everyone starts sprinting. It worked once, and caught another off guard. May not be fast but I'm not stupid. Well that picture didn't turn out to well, but it's straight and flat.

Which leads to the local cat 1 climb.

Which follows into the local roller section.

Atlantic ocean anyone? I see Paris I see France. Waaaay off in the distance.

The local cat 2 climb. I really like this one.

How do you say HC at the beach? Bridges of course.

Finally ending it with a pic of the Dad and the town's newest ambulance. A 42 foot mass casualty unit. Love it!

So I hope you enjoyed the ride, please join me anytime you need a riding buddy.

Thanks!
